Sponsor a student to attend CLIA's Summer Leadership Institute

CLIA's SUMMER LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE is a six-week program CLIA offers to 11th and 12th grade students in Baltimore through a partnership with Youth Works. The Institute gives young people an opportunity to learn about civic engagement, problem solving, advocacy, critical thinking, and conflict management. Students work with community leaders to gain knowledge and insight on how they can use their voices to effect positive change in the world. Last year's Institute included visits to WBAL-TV and City Hall as well as outdoor activities. At the end of the program, feedback from participants included:

• 100% of participants reported learning new ways to work with others and better ways to be leaders
• 85% of participants reported the program helped strengthen their work ethic and their overall communication skills
• 92% of participants reported they learned how to disagree without starting physical altercations and better ways to solve problems
• 92% of participants reported increased confidence in their written and oral communications skills

While any and all gifts are tremendously appreciated, please consider donating at these levels to support our young people:

• A donation of $32 pays for one student to attend the Institute for a day.
• A donation of $127 pays for one student to attend the Institute for one week (4 days per week)
• A donation of $765 pays for one student to attend the Institute for the entire 6 weeks
